More Info

Bell Biv DeVoe: Slogan: "Our Music Is Mentally Hip Hop, Smoothed Out On The R&B Tip, With A Pop Feel Appeal To It"

Mystikal: He's back with a vengeance. Even with a 6-year hiatus from recording and performing, multi-platinum, 3 x Grammy nominee Mystikal hit the ground running after his release from prison. Mystikal's long-awaited return to the music industry was well-received among fans worldwide.

SWV: Before there was Destiny's Child, the hottest trio of R&B singers were SWV. These Sisters with Voices churned out R&B hit after hit and sold over ten million records in the process. After disbanding in the late '90s, they recently reunited and are back on the road. Their fifth studio album will be released in 2011 and an extensive SWV tour is expected to follow. Stay on top of SWV tour dates as they are scheduled in your area; Use Eventful as your source for SWV tour dates and venue information.

SWV formed in 1992 with three childhood friends, Cheryl Gamble, Tamara Johnson, and Leanne Lyons. After sending Teddy Riley a five track demo, they earned a recording contract with RCA Records who helped produce their debut album. Released in 1992, It's About Time, featured five hit singles including the #1 single "Weak", and earned SWV a nomination for Best New Artist at the 1994 Grammy Awards. The album was certified triple-Platinum and SWV was the flyest R&B group on the soul scene. They followed up with their sophomore album, New Beginning, which was equally formidable. Their third album, Release Some Tension, was released in 1997 and featured collabos with Puff Daddy, Missy Elliot, and Snoop Dogg. After releasing a Christmas album in 1997, the girls disbanded and focused on side projects.

In 2005, the girls announced a plan to reunite and release new material. Since then SWV tour dates and concert performances have been scheduled periodically. They have performed at the 2008 BET Awards and in 2010 at the Mo'Nique Show. They signed a record deal in 2011 and have been busy working on their comeback album. SWV tour dates are scheduled periodically throughout 2011. Stay on top of the SWV concert schedule and use Eventful for locally scheduled SWV tour dates.
